Telstra Perth Fashion Festival - Week One Runways
TPFF Week One Runway Events
Since 2015 I have been involved with the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival. Runways have always been so fun for me, especially when they’re new season collections that I haven’t seen or if it’s designed or styled by someone I personally admire.
This year I attended as an Offical Blogger again! Bloggers are counted as media so we get amazingly positioned front row seats for the best view and it's great for photography too!
This year the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival had community events in Fashion Central, Forrest Place before the main week started. The evening events on the runway calendar were held at the Crown Casino. This year I worked alongside Wesley Quarter and Forever New at 140 Perth for the community events. I styled outfits in line with the stores new seasons. I’ve worked with WQ before and I love their district in the city. Forever new is my go-to for work outfits, I already knew I loved the quality and so many of their pieces! Did you watch any of the community shows at Fashion Central this year?
Wesley Quarter Fashion Show
I styled a light blue wool coat from Oxford (@oxfordshop) with black pants, a blouse and my Senso loafers. Although the day of the show was surprisingly boiling hot, I ended up wearing a Steele dress with my Senso loafers. The coat came with me just in case! You never know what to expect with Perth weather!
The runway was styled by Yellow Button, a Perth Stylist and included so many trends I’m already loving for Spring!
Forever New Fashion Show
This show was super fun and was absolutely perfect for Spring! A mixture of feminine prints, block colours, lace and shimmering bags! I wouldn’t be sad if it all jumped into my wardrobe today!
I wore the leather jacket, white cami, nude pants and nude lace up heels. I loved seeing the models wearing outfits so similar to the looks I styled on Instagram earlier in the week!
My favourite pieces on the runway were the rust coloured playsuit from the new Designer Collection, and the polka dotted two piece culotte set. They can be dressed up or down for the occasion, perfect for Spring when everyone decides to come out of hibernation!
Myer Fashion Runway Show
Thursday 7th September
After work on Thursday, I headed into the Myer CBD to watch the fashion runway! The line was out the door, so many people attended! We mingled with champagne and nibbles before taking our seats throughout the store. The runway weaved around the first floor of Myer, lined with gold metal chairs.
Myers Ambassador Kris Smith walked the runway along with some of Perths best models! My favourite looks are below, including pieces from Morrison, Sass & Bide, Acler, Yeojin Bae, Asilio, MJ Bale, Elliatt, Misha Collection, Mossman, We Are Kindred, Cue, Seed and Aquila.
We left with a gift box Myer's beauty brands like Benefit, SK-II, OPI and Shiseido!.
*I was invited to each of these shows and provided clothing to style and wear for the Wesley Quarter and Forever New Runway.
