Coco Noir by Chanel Review
I recently received a beautiful bottle of COCO NOIR from the Australian online beauty website, Feeling Sexy. This is my very first bottle of Chanel fragrance so I am definitely a newbie regarding describing the signature scents.
The COCO NOIR fragrance by Chanel is described as…
“the embodiment of a black that reveals femininity. The contemporary expression of a magnetic sensuality told in a modern oriental fragrance with luminous notes”
This fragrance was launched in September 2012 so it’s been around for a little while already! This particular fragrance in the Coco collection
And today there is Coco Noir, another one of Gabrielle’s adventures emulated within a sleek black bottle. The scent was created to embrace the “dazzle of black and Venice, incorporating them not only into her creations but into her life” as said by Fragrantica. I find it to be quite a romantic scent with a bit of an edge. A little strong to wear day to day but I can definitely see myself wearing this out to dinner on date night.
Coco Noir Top notes
Grapefruit, Calabrian bergamot, Heart: rose, narcissus, rose geranium leaf, and jasmine. Base: tonka bean, sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli, and white musk frankincense. Coco Noir was created by Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake.
My review of Chanel Coco Noir
While it’s a strong and powerful scent, there is obvious feminine notes that creep through and linger throughout the day.
It is definitely a heavier fragrance, that’s why I’d reserve this Chanel perfume for the evenings rather than a day scent. I feel as though the thick and luxurious bottle really communicates the fragrance for what it is. Strong with subtle soft edges of femininity.
I have found that I do reach for it more than I expected. I know it’s long-lasting so I love choosing it when I want to still smell like Chanel, even at the end of the day.
