Market Grounds New Menu!
New season, New menu at Market Grounds, Perth City.
I arrived at Market Grounds at sunset to chatting and laughter, people were lingering around longer than afternoon drinks - obviously staying a while longer than planned. The dim lights of Market Grounds were welcoming and warm, creating a homely feel matching with the historically-inspired interior.
I met the girls in the restaurant area, complete with green retro booths, green leather look seats contrasting with the brown wooden tables and flooring. Planters lined the windows, refreshing and comfortable for enjoying the company and a good laugh.
Starter
Our starter arrived, you can't go wrong with chorizo. Not that we really needed a starter with five plates already on the way.
Mains
Each meal arrived beautifully presented and unique, they looked like works of art! We photographed the food until it was almost cold (Obviously we HAD to do this), then proceeded to devour every last piece on every plate.
The winner was definitely the Dry Aged Tomahawk Rib Eye with Black Garlic Bearnaise, Mustard, Herb Dressing and Shoestring Fries.
I also couldn’t go past the Cracked Farro Falafel with Cauliflower, Orange Crisps, Almonds and Tahini Yogurt Cheese! I'll be getting this again.
Dessert
With room for dessert, three dishes landed on our table - artworks yet again. A short photo session this time - we dived in, finishing everything again.
It’s safe to say the new menu at Market Grounds is irresistible. I have no idea how I’m going to pick just one meal next time I’m there! It’s in the perfect location for dinner and drinks after work, after a big shopping day in the city, or for a good feed and pre drinks before watching a performance at Perth Arena.
I'm sure you'll see me there at some point, waffling down the Cracked Farro Falafel!
*Invited - Thank you for the amazing meal DGPR!
