My Favourite Luxury Bag Purchase
I had never pictured myself to be a bag lover as such, although I have recently rearranged my wardrobe and purchased drawers specifically to hold my bags.
I’ve started to come to terms with the fact that maybe, I am a bag hoarder and I’ve been in denial all these years. To try and curb my bag hoarding habit, I thought it might be a better idea to ‘invest’ in better bags in general. A timeless piece, something that can be styled with any outfit until I’m an old lady.
Now I’m not saying this is the last bag I will ever buy, but it has certainly filled a gap in my bag-wardrobe that I was experiencing before.
The Louis Vuitton Pochette Bag
I was hunting high and low for this bag everywhere!
It’s a popular style that Louis Vuitton caught onto in 1992 when smaller pochette bags started to be used on their own instead of as accessories to larger bags as they were normally worn. I find this a little funny because the most recent style of the LV pochette bag has its own little accessories, giving the pochette, its own pochette bags?
It’s the perfect bag to style up any look, whether it’s jeans and a nice top or if you’re pairing it with a beautiful dress. More often than not, I normally wear this bag to style up casual outfits. The monogram is a cute detail for plain clothes!
Something that I also loved about this style was that the design can be traced back to the “Sac À Main Pour Dame”, which Louis Vuitton released in 1892! I have learned so much about pochette bags and their accessories from this blog post from The Brown Paper Bag. So insightful as to the history of the items we love and use every day, very Devil Wears Prada vibes.
