Klorane Peony Range - Vegan Friendly Haircare

“Known for it’s Paeoniflorine, an Anti-Irritating, Soothing & Antioxidant Molecule”

If you’re looking for hair products that won’t irritate your sensitive skin, the Klorane Peony Shampoo and Conditioner are going to be your new best friends! The range was created for soothing easily irritated or itchy scalps, plus it’s a good range to get some super silky hair too.

I get so many questions about what I use on my hair, mostly how i grow and maintain the length. I often switch up between my usual salon shampoos between restocking so that I can try different formulas and see how they work for me. The Klorane Peony range came as a pleasant surprise! It’s is a good choice if you have a sensitive scalp. The delicate pH balanced ingredients soothe and hydrate - perfect for recovering from the Winter months.

First Impressions Klorane Peony Shampoo

The first thing that caught my eye with the Peony range was definitely the pretty bright pink colour, I’ve never seen such a bright pink shampoo before! The packaging is simple too. Not only was the pink convincing, the scent is so beautiful. If anything, get this set for the scent, you won’t regret it. I feel like I’ve stepped out of a peony field when I get out of the shower. Peonies are one of my favourite flowers and I blame Blair Waldorf for making me fall in love with them.

Something I learned about Peonies is that they’re well-known for being soothing and an anti-irritant, used in Chinese traditional medicines. These properties are what so many of us definitely need after blasting the hot water on our hair throughout the winter months. I know that my scalp is always a little dryer after disregarding it during these times. After washing with the Peony duo, I love using the leave-in serum to keep my scalp hydrated for most of the day.

If you haven’t read any of my hair care posts before, I have very fine blonde hair and lots of it! The length reaches my lower back. I have it coloured and toned blonde around every 8-9 weeks. Now you have an idea of what my hair is like in proportion to the review. I might get my partner to try this routine and I’ll let you know how he goes, he has coarse curly brown hair! Completely the opposite to me.

Klorane Peony Shampoo Review

I start off with the shampoo as always. I only use a small amount of product for my scalp/top half, and another small amount for the mid-length to ends of my hair. I don’t like to use too much product and with this shampoo, I feel like a little can go a long way. If I feel like my hair needs a good clean, I wash my hair twice with shampoo for a super silky finish.

Klorane Peony Gel Conditioner

Next step is the Gel Conditioner. I have read that some use conditioner first and shampoo afterwards, but shampoo first and then conditioner has always been my preferred routine. The smell is amazing once again and it leaves my hair feeling silky and soft. It is so important for my hair to be soft, if my hair is coarse or dry it tangles easier and it’s just a nightmare to untangle! I apply majority of my conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair.

SOS Serum

After washing, I whip my hair up in a towel to dry. Normally it’s still a little damp when I take the towel off and I apply the SOS Serum, then air dry. My hair dries relatively quickly so I’m happy that this can be used on both wet and dry hair.

Final Review on the Klorane Peony Range

I have sensitive skin but I’m not too sure how sensitive my scalp is! It definitely is beneficial that the Klorane Peony Range is hypoallergenic though. It’s free from parabens and silicones so that I never have to worry about my skin freaking out or the affects those nasties might have on my skin in the future.
